About me
Hello, I’m Renata -a Psychologist, Cognitive Analytic Psychotherapist, BPS Supervisor, and NeuroDirect-verified ADHD professional with over 20 years of clinical experience supporting adults and adolescents with neurodiversity and complex mental health difficulties.
My work is grounded in the belief that neurodivergent people do not need to become “more neurotypical” to heal or thrive , they need understanding, self-acceptance, and support that works with the way their mind and nervous system operate. I offer neurodiversity-affirming, holistic, relational, and trauma-informed therapy tailored to each individual’s unique needs.
Having worked within the NHS for over 15 years as a Psychology Lead in the NHS services, I have extensive experience supporting individuals with ADHD, autism, anxiety, trauma, emotional dysregulation, eating disorders, obsessive rumination, addiction, low self-esteem, and relational difficulties. I also offer ADHD assessments and CBT-informed support for ADHD and autism.
I am trained across a range of therapeutic approaches including CBT, CBT-ED, MANTRA, SSCM, CAT, The Rewind Therapy, DBT, psychodynamic therapies, and PTSD-focused approaches, allowing me to adapt therapy flexibly and compassionately.
In my work with ADHD clients, I am particularly influenced by Dr. Gabor Maté’s understanding that ADHD is not simply about attention difficulties, but is also shaped by emotional sensitivity, chronic stress, attachment experiences, and the impact of feeling misunderstood or overwhelmed. My approach focuses on helping clients understand themselves more compassionately, regulate emotions more effectively, and move away from shame and burnout towards greater self-trust and resilience.
