Natalie Fernando

SEND Advocate, Counsellor & Coach

About me

I am a fully qualified psychotherapist, completing my training in psychodynamic counselling with a BACP accredited course in 2011.

A qualified and accredited Family Mediator completing my FMC training at ADRG London in 2016.

Additionally, I have undertaken business coaching up to ILM level 5.

For the last 15 years I have been working with clients in all areas of counselling and coaching including addiction, bereavement, processing change and stress management.

Working extensively with people with neurodiversity in their lives, from individuals new to diagnosis or with parents and carers helping them to understand and manage the life changing situation they often may find themselves in.

As a parent of two neurodiverse children, one who has incredibly complex and profound needs, I believe this gives me a greater personal understanding along with the skills acquired over the last 15 years to be able to really help clients to process and move forward.

My expertise has led me into the field of training and speaking, from schools to small, medium and larger size businesses, developing and delivering various training programmes from assertiveness, motivation, processing change through to confidence, self-esteem and understanding neurodiversity.

Working with businesses and charities to help them understand and support their employees who have neurodiversity in their lives is something I feel passionate about, I run courses and support employees with 1:1 sessions.
