About me

I’m Elaine Blow, a National Award‑winning Nurse, Advanced AuDHD Coach, Sleep Practitioner and Sensory Inclusion Facilitator. I am AuDHD myself and bring both clinical expertise and lived experience to my work. Through my practice, AuDHD Empowered, I provide specialist online coaching and sleep support for autistic, ADHD and AuDHD adults, young people and parents/carers.

I support people with a range of needs, including executive functioning, sensory needs, emotional regulation, burnout, late‑diagnosis adjustment and navigating life within a neurodivergent family. My approach is neuroaffirming, evidence‑based and designed to work with the autistic, ADHD and AuDHD brain.

Experience

In 2023, I developed and led a pioneering new service within an NHS Neurodevelopmental Service, providing pre‑ and post‑diagnosis support for autistic, ADHD and AuDHD children, young people and their families. My work in NHS autism and ADHD services received national recognition, including winning a Nursing Times Award in 2024, a High Commendation at the 2024 HSJ Patient Safety Awards, and being invited to serve as a judge at the Nursing Times Awards in 2025.

Before my NHS career, I worked across the social care sector in roles supporting children, young people and adults in areas such as substance misuse, carers support, family support and young people leaving care. This breadth of experience gives me a deep understanding of the systems, challenges and strengths that shape neurodivergent lives. My work is trauma‑informed, inclusive and grounded in empowerment, and I hold an enhanced DBS certificate, available to view on request.

In addition to my professional background, I am a late‑identified AuDHD adult and parent of AuDHD children, which brings personal insight into the realities of neurodivergent family life.
